I love taking photos of flowers, trees and foliage. Spring is the perfect season to get outside and start photographing some of your favourite species. Here are a few of my recent snapshots:
Recently I enlarged and framed some of my photographs for my friend's dining room. I took these on vacation last year. I had them enlarged them to 36" square and framed them in simple white frames. The cost was about $300 to frame and print each photograph. I think it offers great impact in this space!

I love the look of grasscloth wallpaper in a room. It can instantly add texture and warmth to any space, and it suits many different decorating styles.
That's why I used it in my own living room in my last house (above).
I think it looks best on all four walls but you could use it as a feature wall like designer Erin Feasby did in this kids' bedroom.
Lately I've seen it in different colours, but the most popular so far is a soft green. Victoria Webster paired hers with a soft pink carpet in her principal bedroom — daring but effective.

I was in London last week for a few days, and I discovered a very cute part of London — mainly because that's where our hotel was. The area is called Clerkenwell, on the east side of town. It was filled with great restaurants and local businesses, and it was nice to retreat to a quieter part of town after a day of sightseeing and shopping.
This was the lobby at our hotel, The Zetter.

I loved this floor at Côte Brasserie in Hamstead.

I'm writing this from a press trip I'm on with Ikea Canada. One of our stops is amazing Copenhagen, Demark. It's one of the top cities in the world for anything design. I've had a few hours on my own so far, and have made it to a few great shops. If you are ever in Copenhagen, be sure to check them out!

I love how they've used newspapers as placemats! Although anything looks amazing with Georg Jensen on it! You can purchase Georg Jensen at Hollace Cluny in Toronto.
Four floors of everything for the home from the top designers of the world! I could have spent a few more hours in here.
I love the white wishbone chairs paired with a rustic dining table.
4. Grønlykke
A small shop with beautiful accessories. I especially loved these paper-covered boxes.
Many of these stores have online shopping, as well, so they're worth a browse.

You may be familiar with a website called Rejuvenation.com, a great source for vintage and reproduction lighting and hardware. They recently opened a store in Los Angeles, and when I was there last month I took a few photos. It's so nice to see all the items I've been gawking at online in person.
One of the best sections of the store was a display with all of the lightbulbs they carry. You can test them out before you buy.
These hooks show the different finishes several of their reproduction products come in.
They have stores in Seattle and Portland as well, so be sure to stop by if you're in those cities.
