An easy way for me to erase the winter blahs is with a cheap and cheerful hit of flowers or interesting cut leaves or branches. The vessels below are just perfect for winter arrangements — pieces that are simple and well designed.

I love the set of Seven Day Vases designed by French company Tsé Tsé available from Hollace Cluny here in Toronto. The handblown milky white glass is so pretty, and because they are so airy and almost colourless they match any décor. I recently shot them holding pink peony stems in a kitchen for an upcoming June story for House & Home, but they could also be arranged on a shelf as a collection, or used separately to hold single blooms, pencils on a desk etc etc. $286 for all 7, a really great investment.

If you love the look but wanted a budget-friendly hit, have a peek at the new Opal Cylinder Vase Collection from West Elm. These vases offer a similar look in milky white glass — not quite as delicate, but perfect for flowers or big pillar candles.
