Make a mad dash for your local Ikea everyone — the new catalogue has arrived!

Mailboxes everywhere will be brimming with ideas for us to pore over and dream. This year’s slogan is “any space can be beautiful” — and it’s true. With some creativity and snappy ideas, your home can look personal and stylish. And it doesn’t have to be expensive — that’s where Ikea comes in.

To really get your imagination going, here are some stand-out favourites from yours truly:

Edland dressing table in grey, $250. Elegant and curvaceous — Ikea, you shouldn’t have!

365+ Brasa table lamp, $100. Sleek. Mod. So very Armani/Casa. Check out John Mayer’s lamps in this month’s Elle Decor — you’ll see what I mean. P.S. I think Edland and Brasa should get together. They’d make a cute couple.

PS Saga chair, $90. “Industrial chic” — my fellow H&H-er Stacy Begg called this look a year and a half ago. She’s clairvoyant.

PS Svarva floor lamp, $180. Pretty, yet trippy. Just in time for the new Alice in Wonderland film.
