Sally Armstrong is a senior design editor who has been with House & Home for more than 10 years. She helps oversee product stories and styles photo shoots of houses, condos, cottages and gardens. In her free time (with three kids, she doesn't have as much time as she used to), she pours over other design magazines in print or online. Her husband, Ted, wishes she would throw out the boxes of magazines in their basement, but she refuses, holding strong to her decorating passion.
Margot Austin joined House & Home in December 2011 as a senior design editor, bringing more than 15 years of styling, editing and writing experience to the team. She styles photo shoots of interiors, cottages and gardens for the pages of H&H. Margot and her husband, Kevin, who owns a home decor shop, are serial decorators who have transformed seven homes in their 12 years of marriage.
After completing a degree in fine arts and history at Wilfred Laurier University, Joel Bray went on to study interior design at Humber College. Then Joel landed his dream internship at House & Home, and climbed his way up to design editor. Along with styling the elaborate photo shoots for the pages of H&H, Joel appears regularly on H&H Online TV. He even worked for HGTV's Summer Home and has hosted a design segment on CBC's Steven & Chris.
As House & Home's senior features editor and editor of the Style Files section, Kimberley Brown covers the news, ideas, people, products and trends shaping the Canadian and international design scene. She's also a documentary film fan and travels to New York often enough to consider it her second home.
Assistant style editor Reiko Caron lives and breathes design. Her graphic and industrial design background makes her a great addition to the H&H team, where sourcing great finds and styling photo shoots are part of her daily tasks. She also works on design segments of H&H Online TV — offering inspiration for her own downtown condo.
Corinne Cécilia is the managing editor of Maison & Demeure, the sister publication of House & Home. Corinne is passionate about style and publishing and has worked as a researcher, columnist, writer and editor with Canadian and international magazines and media outlets. She is thrilled to promote Quebec design to a local, national and international audience.
Interiors director Meg Crossley brings over 10 years design experience to her role at House & Home. She loves overseeing photo shoots of homes, cottages and gardens, in part because it fulfills her natural snoopiness! (She gets into lots of houses.) Many ideas from these shoots have made it into her own home renovations, including ones she tried out in her own basement project.
Assistant design editor Kai Ethier works on many of H&H's product and research-based stories. (She loves browsing the web for all things design and decorating!) She lives in Toronto’s west end with her husband Andre and their two adorable kids.
Senior design editor Sarah Hartill has been with H&H for more than 10 years. Sarah's talents shine when she produces stories like Weekend Decorating, styles photo shoots, scours stores for new products, and predicts up-and-coming trends. Although this busy mom of two boys is continually renovating her own home, she still manages to freelance as a photographer — you’ll notice her shots pop up now and again on the pages of H&H.
Katie Hayden is House & Home’s managing editor, with over 15 years of experience writing and editing for the magazine. She's passionate about decorating kids’ rooms, which she finds less serious and more playful than “grown-up” spaces — and less of a long-term commitment. Her own daughters’ rooms are inviting blank canvasses she can tinker with eternally — and the girls seem happy enough to oblige her, and join in on redecorating projects. She’s as comfortable hunting for housewares at thrift stores as she is at high-end antique shops. She lives in a small, quirky Toronto semi with her husband and daughters.
Armed with degrees in French literature and magazine publishing, Kristen joined House & Home's copy and features department in June 2012. As an assistant editor, she writes and researches stories for H&H — a dream job for someone who wrote and illustrated her first magazine at age five. She lives in an apartment in downtown Toronto with a half-finished gallery wall and her very patient partner.
As an English literature and magazine publishing grad — and the daughter of a designer and architect — Gwen is perfectly suited to her role as Houseandhome.com's editor. After interning at design magazines and working in H&H's features department, she's now building online photo galleries, articles, recipes and managing the weekly line-ups of beautiful content.
Senior style editor Morgan Michener's passion for home trends and great design dates back to her childhood, when her favourite hobby was rearranging furniture and styling rooms in her parents' house. Morgan studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design before joining the team at House & Home in 2001, where she styles photo shoots, produces stories and searches high and low for interesting and well-designed products. She lives in Toronto with her husband, son, daughter and Murray, the family dog.
Floriana Paonessa started at House & Home as an editorial intern and joined the buzz of magazine production and tight deadlines in the copy department. Her love of design is influenced by her frequent travels to Italy, where she visits family and flea markets in equal amounts. Every Sunday, she likes to take on a new project — usually revamping an old piece of vintage furniture.

Eric and his wife, Monica, recently renovated their kitchen, finally creating enough cupboard space to house his considerable cookware collection.
