Classic Muskoka Cottage
Tucked into the trees overlooking a Muskoka lake, this classic cottage designed by Michael Angus takes its decorating cues from Northern-Ontario nostalgia.
The homeowners wanted the cottage to feel cosy, moody and authentic, so opted not to use colour. Only antique furniture was used, and dark wood and glossy white trim gave it an old-school and lived-in look. In the powder room, dark herringbone grasscloth looks rich and moody. A retrofitted antique Canadian pine dry sink and a pair of industrial brass sconces make the room memorable.
