New York–Style Apartment
H&H design editor Joel Bray transformed an outdated 690-square-foot, builder-basic condo to maximize space and style.
Dark floors, nostalgic vignettes and crown and panel moulding give new life and character to plain rooms. He wanted a "built-over-time look" and used a combination of new, vintage and eclectic pieces to acheive it, creating a space rooted in traditional style. In the bedroom, the cornice was carried across the window to give a clean finish.
