Photo Smoked Salmon And Feta Puffs Recipe

Easy and quick to prepare, these puff pastry packets make a delicious starter to a luncheon or dinner party.

8 oz. smoked salmon, chopped
12 oz. feta cheese, crumbled
1/4 tsp garlic, minced
Freshly ground black pepper
1 (17-1/2 oz.) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 egg white, beaten

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine salmon, feta cheese and garlic. Season with pepper to taste.

Step 3: On a lightly floured surface, roll out pastry to form a 12" x 12" square, then cut into 3" x 3" squares (you should end up with 16 squares).

Step 4: Place a spoonful of salmon filling in the centre of each pastry square. Fold corners of each square to form 16 packets. Lightly brush each one with egg white and place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.

Step 5: Bake for about 20 minutes or until packets are golden. Serve warm.
