Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone knows of any websites where I could get ideas for boys rooms. We would like something that will stay with him well into his teenage years.

thanks

Carmie -you posted a picture of your kitchen some time ago and I couldn't help admiring your granite. We have exactlly the same kitchen cabinets and a similar kitchen table and are in the process of replacing our kitchen counter with a granite one, but are struggling with what colour to go with!!! Black or a variation of black seems to be the norm but we feel that black may be a little too stark for the look of our home which is more on the traditional side and full of warm earthtone colours. I would very much appreicate it if you could send me a close up of your kitchen so that I can get an idea of what the Giallo Veneziano would look like in my own kitchen,

Could you also let me know how yourare finding the colour in terms of upkeep? From what I hear black granite is high upkeep - would you say the same thing about the Giallo Veneziano?

Thanks :)

of course, if you're not close enough I would just have the items shipped right to you, and they'd get there at the end of the week as well.

I have to place my orders by Sunday at midnight and then I receive the goods Saturday morning. Then, depending on where you live I could deliver them to you either that day or Sunday.

I'm not a big fan of those parties either, but it looks like I'd better get used to doing them, eh? LOL. The good thing about them is that there is potential for the hostess to get a ton of free merchandise.

Did you see the kids' stuff? I love all of it!

and answered my own question.

What are delivery times like?

of mirrors they have NBNH!!! I love the all mirror - french looking ones and can't believe how well priced they are!

Can you only purchase through a party (I can't stand them - if I get invited to one more candle party or pampered chef party I will do something I will not be proud of - got a little off track here :hairpull: )? This seems to be an interesting twist on the ol' tupperware party. I think I still have some original tupperware lying around come to think of it. Is it old enough to be an antique yet?

Check out www.homeinteriors.com and on the right, on the first drop down menu choose the kids' collection. They have three different themes for boys' rooms that are really cute.

I'm getting my DD's bedding from there, and I ended up signing on as a consultant with them. If you need any info I would be happy to help you out!

Retro Collection

With a nod back at the past, our Retro Collection is a cool new look for the boys of today! Warm brown, rich yellow and bright blues are accented with clever textures, leather and denim to create a look for the trendiest teens!

Do you venture in to TO much?
I would take him to IKEA....they have a great thing going, setting up rooms.
Certainly he could get inspiration from one on display.
I find they are NOT theme rooms, which I would avoid...and IKEA is very reasonably priced. (no I don't work for them)
If you are starting from scratch, that's what I'd do.

or he could browse a catalogue to show you what he likes.

I would choose something with him. What are his talents, likes, favourite activities?? What does he want to do when he grows up? Does he have any heroes? What inspires him?
