So when we moved into this house last January, I painted the kitchen, dining room and entry BM Brandon Beige. I still like it in the dining room, but the kitchen just felt so blah with brown floor, brown counters and brown walls. What was I thinking?? I have been wanting DH to do a proper backsplash, shiny white subway with some grey marble inserts, but he won't get around to it very soon, so I thought I would just do a little freshen up. I really wanted to do a brighter apple green, but this colour will still butt up against the beige in the next room so I had to keep it subtle, so I went with BM Soft Fern. Turns out it's actually a lighter colour of the green around the corner in the living room, so hopefully this will feel like a good flow. I just didn't want mint!! Next stop, SS appliances. And note the $75 vintage dinette we scored a couple weekends ago, with my grandma's tablecloth. :) Anyways, here's 2 before and 3 after:

Nice and fresh - looks great next to your white cabinetry.
LOL, I forgot he was lounging there when I took those before pics before I went to the paint store. He's a big chocolate lab, and that's "his mat" (right in front of the furnace vent).
Yeah, it'll take some getting used to, but I *think* I like it.
