I guess the other man's grass is always greener, in this case yours...you are right however about the fall in Ontario, the colours are spectacular, they impress even those of us who see them every year. If you haven't had the experience yet I too hope you get the opportunity to visit our neck of the woods when they are at their best.
I should mention that there isn't one easterner I know (now living here out west) who hasn't mentioned how they miss the colour of the Fall leaves. They say the colours are so much more vivid, and totally breathtaking. I shall have to travel out your way for a taste of that! I'd love to see it one day.
Well, looks like you picked the better place to live. No signs of spring here yet, well not entirely true, yesterday we did spot a robin in the back yard. Shivering and looking a bit like the Little Match Girl, wishing he could come in from the cold.
Thanks for the words of hope, it's nice to hear that some of us are already enjoying spring.
Even just the grass has taken on a fresh new green. My husband has cut it twice already.
The Forsythia blossoms are going and the new chartreuse leaves are coming in, my Bleeding Hearts are in bloom, leaves are emerging on many trees, delphiniums and irises are starting up, daffodils have been out for at least a week....
We have NO greens at this time of year! Are you saying that you lucky West Coasters do??? If so I am on the next bus!
(didn't work first time)
I love the path! Don't you just love how all the greens at this time of year look so fresh and new? Splashes of colour from all things coming into bloom are a welcome site as well. Great picture!
