Alfred Sung....??

I see in the latest Zellers flyer they are carrying an Alfred Sung collection
of furniture & accessories.

Has anyone seen these in person? The prices are very good, and I really like the simple designs of the pieces.

I am sure they are about the same quality as Loblaws furniture...but just the same, I'm curious if anyone has checked them out.

thanks

or at least, the box they come in. the dimensions were 14"w x 11"d x 25"h (definitely counter height) but there wasn't one on display, no salesperson in sight, and the quality of the other stuff in the line that was on display wasn't encouraging.... oh and the box felt so light that i wondered if the stools were made of cardboard... so we'll pass.... deeply, deeply regretting not grabbing the Loblaws ones... sigh :(

that's a change LOL but I wan in Zellers on Monday for coffee (it's in the mall across the road from the Y where I work out) and saw some of the Alfred Sung line, as well as the H&H; however, it was all typical Zellers, there was more empty space on the shelving than anything else, with tickets to denot ewhat should have been there - and not a Zellers person in sight !!!!!!!!

I'd found them online at www.zellers.ca in the Home Living section (same pic as in the online flyer) but neither source lists dimensions. I agree with Jeep (congrats!) that it's probably counter height based on the table... but will probably still go check them out in person!

You can check them out in the online flyer.

You just go to www.zellers.ca and click on Online Flyer...then enter your postal code.

At least you can have a look at them....

Jeep,

thanks for info on Structube....Just looked over everything on their website.
I have never been, but it looks worth a trip....looks like a fun store.

oh, and congrats on the star!!

We were going to get 2 of them from Loblaws (bar height) each and shorten the legs to counter height... at $40 each, we figured that was worth it, but they sold out of them while we were thinking about it...

Might check out the Zellers ones first, especially if they're counter height already (Structube ones look very nice but they're bar height)... they're only for occasional seating so as long as they're not toooo rickety we'll be happy with them.

Thanks for all the sources!!

I went to their site and they have a stool the same as the Zen but it looks like much better quality but of course more$$ it is the Shintu at $119.00. So all depends on what you are looking for.

I would guess to say it is counter height in the flyer it shows it up against a table and it didn't look to be to tall in the store but they did hae it up on a higher shelf.

Is this the one you're talking about? Loblaws had those recently but they sold out pretty fast...

Is the Zellers one bar height or counter height?

Thanks...

I figured as much.

That is the one peice I was considering....the Zen stool...and possibly the tray.

I guess you really do get what you pay for.

Two thumbs down on them the quality looked to me so poor that it made the stuff at Super Store look good. I was very disappointed in it the chair for the dining room has about 1 inch of padding on it and was as hard as a rock. The only thing that looked not bad was the Zen Bar Stool. I wouldn't consider it at all. To bad.
