But Inglewood it's the American way, they really seem to thrive on that kind of spectacle down there. I see this a major difference between us and them :)
We are the same yet so different.
Chris and Adam were like comparing apples and oranges. Once they find their own genre of music they both will do well. I think there are a number of them that will do well in the future.

Have to agree the song for the winners upcoming cd was awful...Think they should let them sing there 3 fav's and the winner sings the one for the cd at the end of the show....As for the the Finale...Kudo's to the producers for the pairings with the Idols...some very good performances.....Kris and Keith paired up great as did Allison and Cyndi....Good show overall....

I agree. I do not like that song either but apparently Kara wrote the song with the support of 2 other song writers. That must have been awkward for her.
Adam was a very gracious loser. But in the end, he is really the winner as he doesn't have to sing/record that dreadful AI song !

Gee, I never even thought about the lip synching, but when I think back I don't think it was. Kara really brought it loud out a few times when Bikini Girl tried to sing. :biglol:
It would not surprise me if she was lip syncing since it was intended as a stunt, however, apparently she was a singer before becoming a song writer.
Kara does have an amazing voice if that was her, I almost wondered if she was lip syncing. Showing off her bikini so very briefly was hilarious too. I was surprised her skin was so white. I just imagined everyone in Hollywood had fake tans for some reason.
It was pretty funny...the whole Bikini Girl vs. Kara thing. I was quite surprised at how good her voice was (considering she's a songwriter)...between her singing ability and her 'bikini bod' , she certainly has nothing to be ashamed about!
Great idea too to donate to charity...well done Kara:)

I loved having her on this season. I have to admit that Paula does get on my nerves and especially seeing her up against Kara this year I found her even more difficult to watch. She really lacks credibility but on the other hand Kara really makes it work. This show is getting dated so they needed a fresh face.
But did you realize that they bet her to do that and since she did they made a large donation to her favourite charity......and I must say she has a voice.
For all that the judges toot about being an "artist", I just don't believe that the American public buys into it. Kris Allen is the boy next door -- and I think I've seen a million Kris Allens in my 44 years.
On the other hand, Adam Lambert is the guy that you can't take your eyes from but at the same time you might feel like you're in a train wreck...at least that is my take on it. His style is right out there, full monty, loud and [I]different[/I].
I think you'll see Adam Lambert go BIG because he is a true artist. He reeks of success, IMO. Hopefully, no more shows with KISS because I think that kind of connection is going to pigeon-hole him. But if he can stand beside the likes of Freddy Mercury, Robert Plant, Steven Tyler, then I think he'll go a long way in the industry.

Well I just downloaded Adam Lambert's version of Madworld on iTunes. Well worth it...my favourite version of this song ever! Best .99 spent to date.

I so wanted Adam to win!!! I was disappointed too!! What an entertainer he is and what a voice.
It was quite the show tonight and I said same thing to DH that Kris would likely win as he'd be more likley to pick up Danny's votes. (Kris would also get much of the teenage girl vote:))
Regardless, Adam has pure star power and will be a success! We'll be all be watching for him. (He just might fare even better withouut the 'Idol contract')

I agree. Winning has not proven to be the best situation for all of these idol contestants. If you got it ...you got it. It is all about audience and if there is a buying audience out there looking for what he has to offer then he has it made.
Look at Jacob from Hedley who placed 3rd with Canadian Idol. He has become a very big success and I cannot even remember who he lost out to in that competition.
I suspect that we will not hear of Chris again and as soon as contractually able, Adam will have a hit on the radio.

Adam reminded me of young Elvis. I am also shocked he did not win but it could be in his favour. From what I recall the winner is contractually obligated to do certain things and any profits made from CD's are the property of American Idol and not the winner themselves. It's a bit of a rip off. The really winners are those that can just go off and do their own thing

Certainly I believe that all reality television has a great deal of manipulation going on behind the so-called "real" scenes but I think that there is certainly a voting public for American Idol and a conservative one at that.
Frankly, I think placing second is a better scenario for him.

I am not surprised at all. It is such a conservative group that watch Idol so with the demise of Danny the vote probably swung over to Kris. I think they are both very talented but soooo different in their appeal. It is rare that you see such a "Freddy Mercury-type" on American Idol that while I found Adam extremely talented and theatrical, he probably did not appeal to the conservative voter.
it was rather shocking Sweetpea, i think kris was even shocked :eek: however i was saying to some friends today that i wouldnt be surprised after Danny being voted off if his votes wouldnt then swing to Kris, ecspecially for ones that dont like the rocker type. With Adams talent, there is no doubt that he should have won, but i think he will still go places.
