You are sure energetic to dig a garden in this heat wave. Good for you. Here is a pic of mallow started from seed. I just threw the seeds pods in the garden and now have 4 plants. It can be a bit evasive according to some people but it is in a location that is the "wild" garden lol :p

I really like those flowers their very pretty. My neighbours have marshmallow in their back garden, it's between 5 and 6 feet tall with lot's of white flowers. I'll ask her if I can have some seeds when they're ready, and I'll send you some:)
Oh, and I'm not in the garden to brave the humidity, I'm in there to avoid my children when they're at their crankiest ( shortly after dad gets home from work lol), the heat is making my boys very miserable. I'd fill their pool, but we have an outdoor water use ban :(

"According to some people"? Well I said that ,and didn"t see anyone else say anything so I guess this means me.I was saying how I find this plant to behave in MY garden ,and I must say, that it seems to have offended you somehow?
I thought that forums were to share this kind of info, guess not,so I will refrain from posting anything.

Heavens no I am not offended at all. When I was typing to amy I could not remember the name of the member gardener who had said mallow can be invasive... that is why I said "some people" . Please do not take offense at my lack of memory...... :)
Happy Gardening Molly.......and I love to read your knowledgeable posts. Since this is in what I call the "wild garden" I would like to find some white mallow seeds.. :) Thnaks for the dead heading idea...I had not thought of that duh!!!
