are daylilies out in zone 8 ?

Right now, is there any growth on daylilies in zone 8, and if so, how tall is it?

I read online that pairing daylilies and daffodils works out well because the daffodils bloom before the daylilies take off, and the daylilies growth later conceals the spent foliage of the daffodils. I guess I'm trying to get a visual before I try this pairing. I did plant a daylily last year, but I don't know if it took or not.

I have no idea if there should be growth in zone 8, I do know you are lucky to be there as you can grow such wonderful stuff. I am envious.
Day lillies come in various heights. From low about 18" Stella d"oro to the taller ones that can have 3' foliage and 4' stems with the blooms. I love them as they bloom so long. Some have a lovely scent. To get some ideas try veseys.com in PEI. But I am sure there are other places to order as well. Icangarden.com or .ca is another.

The shorter ones look great in containers too.
