OK

If you want to keep the room so that it will stay with her for a while I suggest the warm cream tones with accents of pale pink and mint. This will stay with her for a long time without dating it by age.
Or you might want to check out
www.wtn.ca look under the show Divine Design, there Candace Olsen designed a gorgeus little girls room. They also have before and after pics available.
Hope this helps
design lessons on this website...I think it's under "rooms and spaces"... "infants rooms". Also, I'd go and check out bookstores like Chapters or Indigo. They have tons of books for decorating babies rooms. My little girl is almost 6 months old. I chose a neutral pale green from the bedding set I just love. The other colours in the coordinating fabrics were, dark mauve, cream and beigy taupe (which is the colour of the rug) Her toys really fill up the small room. I started off with a theme of teddy bears. I also got teddy bear knobs for the dresser/change table and the display cabinet for her books, bears, special gifts, etc. I did sew individual letters to put on her wall to spell her name. Put up her calendar for keeping track of stuff. Got the coordinating wall hanging with balloons. Hope that helps. Good luck.
A neat idea is to use some cute baby rattles and glue them onto the ends of a curtain rod. You can then loosely loop some fabric around the top of the rod. A decorator's look for nothing. Don't forget to add a roll down blind to help block out the summer sun.
