We have an issue with the tiles in our bathroom... they are ugly! And just out of date. I know some people that have fairly successfully painted tiles on a backsplash but how about in the shower/tub area?
We plan to someday completely redo the bathroom (new cabinets, counter, floor and retile). But it's not in the budget yet (thanks to having to remove the remainder of the knob and tube wiring in our house built in 1923). So we're looking for a quick fix. The tiles were almost ok - most are a plain greyish white colour but there are two rows that have flowers on them that are peach and sort of a greyish mint green colour. And then in some areas they've used a trim tile of a greyish mauve.
I just don't know what to do with it. If we try to work with the tiles I don't want to go near the peach colour. I don't mind the idea of a greyish mauve with a nice crisp white. Kind of a spa type look. But I'm not sure it would be good with the greyish white tiles.
I really hate the peach flowers! :o
If anyone can offer some direction it would be greatly appreciated!
