I would like to knowif anyone has pictures of a black fence,  I know a few years ago there was a member that stained her fence black and it looked fabulous. I would like to stain the fence black

but would like to show some pictures to DH before starting this project.

If anyone has any ideas as to why we should't please feel free to comment.

thank you

I do love black doors and garages - actually never thought of a fence. I did have a black painted wrought iron one when I owned a victorian cottage.

Love it - looks fab !

Hello Poorgirl,

Black fences certainly look sharp, but in terms of maintenance, it would probably be easier to stain your fence rather than paint it. You'll still have to re-coat it when it fades, but wood stains tend to last longer and wear a lot nicer than paint, which can flake.

Good luck on the fence, and let us know how it goes!

Here is a picture on House and Home that is black fencing.  I put in black fencing but maybe just put in black paint or just fence.  I think it looks pretty sharp myself!
