I love brussel sprouts when they're steamed and served with butter and salt. Yummy!
as jainey (I think?) directed, and toss with a little butter and toasted slivered almonds. If some of the sprouts are big, I cut an 'X' into the bottom with a sharp knife. I love brussel sprouts but no one else in the family will touch them unless I put the butter and almonds on them!
This recipe is delicious ... even for those not fond of Brussel Sprouts.

I think this prevents them from going soggy/limp and losing all their flavour. I have one of those adjusting metal inserts that fit into any pot...water just until you see it through the bottom of the insert and when they're bright green and tender...ready for eating...yum!
Btw..glad to see others enjoying brussel sprouts...I think they've gotten a bad rap and are very delicious!
