Does anyone have any idea if 36 oz. nylon broadloom is a decent quality carpet or not.
Also, would it be wise to upgrade a 12mm foam underpad?
I'm not looking for the highest quality carpet and underpad but I don't want it to have to be replaced in 5 years... I know nothing about carpet and am not sure if the builder's standard is an acceptable quality product. Thanks.

If I were you I would check out a flooring store . I go to Kanata Flooring and get great customer serivice. Go in and tell them what you want or need and they will give you the lo down on carpets.
I have no idea about the quality of the carpet, but I have heard many times to get the best possible underpad you can afford.
