I enjoyed her too, very tall brunette. Maybe it was because I just enjoyed the show and the information. However, we will all miss Marilyn .
I'm watching today and the host is pretty good, I missed the beginning so I'm not sure who she is.
Sorry but    ........I miss Marilyn!! The show will never be the same for me!!!  I cannot watch anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!
I enjoyed Janey (sp?) Adams today. She was quite funny.
I wonder how KS would do on Family Day and when the Drs. are the guests. I think she would be fine for Fashion and Home Days. I still think they wold be better off finding a TV person to Host the show.
That's a good point but I don't think that Kimberley is the sort of person who would do this. She is a very mature lady and I feel would respect the guests she would have on the show.
Being a host of a show would not be new to her either as she had her own show for a few years. She was able to interview guests and would never talk over them . She had respect for them.
There are guest hosts on all week again apparently.
As for Kimberly, she's good but I wonder if she would be up to host vs being the expert or if they could work both into the format. The one thing with this type of show hosting is the host is not usually the expert with anything, they are there to allow the experts to shine. KImberly knows her stuff so it might be harder for her to not overpower the guests in some areas.
I had forgotten about that show until you mentioned it. I always watched it and enjoyed her. She has a great sense of humour and is so at ease on T V.
Remember, Kimberley used to have her own show before. Maybe she wants to get back into TV full time again. I didn't see the show today, but will try to check in later this week. I think she would be perfect, too!!
I missed the first of the show so was not sure if she is in the running for the host of the show. I hope she is.
I too was thrilled to see Kimberley as host today!!!! :clapping: Finally a winner, I knew she would be. I wonder as well if she will be able to do this gig with her busy career as travel hostess and designer.
Enjoyed the show, but was wondering if she (kimberly) was really interested or just filling in, she seems to be extremely busy. But she is a natural!!!
I am absolutely thrilled to see that Kimberley Seldon is in the running for show host of Cityline. If we cannot have Marilyn then she is the next best thing. I really enjoy her and she is doing a great job today.
from Rogers Media:
The 08/09 season will continue to include live studio audiences and in
the new season, "CityLine" will go on the road to host live audiences in other
great Canadian cities. "CityLine" will move into its brand new studio in the
heart of downtown Toronto at Yonge & Dundas in 2009 and all productions will
continue in high definition. Citytv has been casting for the permanent host
role and meeting with a number of well known Canadian entertainers from across
North America - response to this casting call has been overwhelmingly
positive. Robert Lawlor, Executive Producer for non-news productions, will
work with "CityLine's" veteran Supervising Producer Chrissie Rejman to select
the new host and to enhance the viewer-experience.
I wish I could watch every day!! Instead I'm stuck at work all day. Of course, that doesn't stop me from posting on this forum!! ;) :p
.... unless they hire the host they had today (Friday) I really liked her too and appreciated her sense of humour.
I was reading this thread because I find the quest for a host for a good show interesting but the detective work is not very good. Sorry, I'm not JoannaM.
Maybe you should call Shaw and tell them you need your Cityline. Mind you all you're missing some days now is resisting the urge to throw something at the TV.
I don't get Cityline here which I miss so much it has been a favourite for years it was the first show that really got me thinking about decorating and I have learned tons from them. With all the talk of the new Hosts I feel so left out why doesn't Shaw carry that show here.

I agree with SusanB about Dina -- I have stopped watching Breakfast TV because I find her so irritating.

janmac nice to see you on this forum too.
Marilyn's shoes will be no easy task to fill. :)
Marilyn hasn't completely disappeared. For those in the Toronto area, tune into 104.5 Chum FM every morning to hear her with her palls Roger and Rick.

Do you suppose anyone from Cityline ever reads this forum, if so they must know everyones feelings about some of those terrible hosts they have on and why do they bring them back a second time.
Does anyone know Marilyn? I think a lot of us would like to know how she is doing and how her new house is coming along, and if she is planning anything new.
Wouldn't it be great if Marilyn became a member of our forums and could talk to us. I wonder if she reads them and knows how we feel.
Just a few thoughts from one who is frustrated by the whole Cityline show.

Christine gets my vote too. So far she seems much more suited to hosting the show.
Actually on second thoughts, I think Christine did a fab job. The looks great, she listens and doesn't try to copy Marylin.

Rest assured I have already given them a piece of my mind. :-)
Here is the address again....
Im not enjoying Christine! She keeps saying 'hmmmm', 'right', 'righto' more 'hmmmmm' like a voice over while the guests are speaking.
I, like Dianne, can not find where to put my comments. I am even a member...
The host they had yesterday (Dina?) is one of the girls on one of the yogurt commercials. I actually find her voice very soothing. Liz West is like fingernails on a blackboard.
