BTW you should start drawing again... look what's happened with Mambo pretty soon she will be famous & we will be a distant memory hehe

to these org shows is really into the psych part, but they seem to try to help them part with the stuff, not as exploitive. And I have seen rooms I would call these shows for - they DO exist!
Mom, Mom? is that you????
if it wasn't the people that approached the show that were slobs but the producers or show staff that went to THEM and made a mess just to tape an episode.
Although there are people that live like that...I met one once. (haaa ...I say it like they're aliens or something, not nice) but seriously there are. Just think of COPS when they bust into people's homes (if that's what you can call them)-you see stuff EVERYWHERE and I'm sure they didn't know THAT show was coming!!!
I watched one the other night & the whole time thought to myself that the poor woman needed a psychologist- it wasn't about the mess really...there was so much more to the cause. Actually, now that I think about it- I don't really think it was nice to exploit someone who obviously has serious issues for the sake of a show...hmmm it's new show I'll watch once more but if this is their format, I'm afraid they've lost this viewer.
I always say to my hubby...how can people live like that? They have this beautiful home and they don't even take care of it! This sort of thing makes us a bit touchy because we both want a house so badly and then there are others who are fortunate enough to have one but they don't take pride in it and take care of it? I know finances play a role but it doesn't cost anything to clean up!
it's the only thing that makes sense to me...at some point one HAS to clean...do they not move stuff? AND really don't they ever have company over & if so where does everybody sit? lol
How could you ever have visitors over? How could you ever find anything you needed? I couldn never live like that! I wouldn't let a camera in to my home with messes like that!? Maybe some of them just wreck the joint so they can get some newly decorated rooms? lol
do they get to that extreme? I don't want to sound judgemental- I'm truly at a loss to how that happens...we have too much stuff too but when it takes over your home? I don't know....
I sure could use your organizational talents. You should see my place! I have alot of stuff and some clutter, even though I hate clutter. I always say to myself that it won't be so bad when we move. Mind you I'm not as bad as some of thee people you see on those organizational shows!
funny you should say that...my first career choice was in fashion- buying, merchandising,& visual display. I absolutely loved it...but this towns too small. I can merchandise a closet like you've never seen (don't mean to sound arrogant). And if I'm at any ones home & see cabinets, closets etc. out of sync. I get this insane itch to take everything out & put it in a "soothing to the soul" state..DH calls me Monica (from FRIENDS-the show). My dad gets annoyed that College cost so much "so I could hang clothes in a closet" hehehe. And I'm sure my brother is still cursing since my visit last weekend- I'm sure he's still looking for everything LOL. These new "organization shows" make me giddy- I want my own show:) Any psychologists out there want a go at this one? :D :D
I was so embarassed! Mental note to self...think before reacting. Oh well, glad it made you laugh.
I really should try drawing again. MamboGirl can definitely go somewhere with her talent. Not only are larger prints of her work a great idea, but maybe she can have her work produced on greeting cards, the ones you find in those one-of-a-kind art shops!
There are so many talented people on this forum, it's great to see. Any other closet talents out there? Come on......show and tell !
