Does anyone know how to coddle eggs? I received two egg coddlers as a gift and would like to try them.

Coddled eggs are delicious! Butter the coddler, add two eggs, salt and pepper...I like to add chopped chives also. Replace the lid. Into a pot of boiling water, just enough to cover, add the coddlers and simmer for approximately 10 minutes.

HaHa - When I got the gift I thought the coddlers were for jam! Then I saw them in an antique store. OOPS! So now I wanted to try them. Yes - I think these are for slightly poaching - beats me.

Thanks Foxxy - I will have to look.
