Recently, I gave away a bunch of my magazine collection. I seem to have given away a magazine that I should not have. This magazine featured illustrated instructions on how to fabricate a very cool shoe cabinet.
You see I’ve been bugging my husband to build this shoe organizer/cabinet for months. From what I can remember, it was made of wood with shutters as doors, and it held several pairs of shoes (aprox 10).
I thought that I had put the magazine that held the project instructions aside, but it seems to have been given away along with the others. In fact I’m pretty sure but not completely sure that this cabinet was featured in Canadian H&H, it could also have been in Country Living or MSL.
Help please : )

There is a chat option there...talk to you soon!
Hi,
That would be great. Do you have MSN messenger? We could setup temp ID's and agree on a time to be logged on and then you can actually pass a file to me through that program. Would that work for you?
I would be happy to give them to you but since I would rather not post my email address or phone # on the forum, how would you suggest going about it?
Hi,
Just wondering if I could get a copy of the instructions myself. I remember seeing that project and thinking it would be great for our back entrance that has no space for shoes on the floor.
Thanks.
We appreciate that you're thinking of this.
As a rule, we cannot simply copy something from the magazine and throw it up verbatim.
Posting a picture that you like, or a phrase that caught your attention is fine, but an entire work/article we cannot do.
Hope you understand. :)
Jason
Thanks for responding. I will wait to see if ASAP wants me to send her the directions by email or I can send them by snail mail.
It is difficult to know what is technically "legal" to do on the forums. I am always so excited to help a poster when I can but I don't want to break any copywrite laws etc. and get me or anyone else in trouble.
Thanks again.
I just spoke with Jason about this and that is something that we can't do. He said that emailing would be the safest way.
Sorry for leading you astray. He didn't understand what I was asking him the first time.
Hi Jody can I use my scanner then and scan directly from the magazine and post the pictures and instructions without breaking any rules of copywrite etc? I am never sure what is allowed?
It's okay if you share them...I'm just not allowed.
You know how it is...
I have the instructions but since Jody says they can't be posted maybe you can send me your email and I can send them to you????
This was featured in our June 2003 issue. Unfortunately, we can't post the instructions on our site because it was an entry to a contest we had.
Hopefully someone else will share these instructions with you.
:)
