are something for which I have always had a predilection. Luckily for me, I have no room for a dictionary on a stand so I won't waste time fantasizing about your giant expensive version.
DH has always said that he would love one of those MASSIVE dictionaries, the kind that deserve their own pedestal...hard to find. The closest I could find that I found impressive consisted of each huge page being sectioned off into 6 or 8 areas. Each area was actually a page from a dictionary, it came with it's own magnifying glass- which enlarged each section to the size of a full page...fantastic! And so it should have been for $1000.00. Needless to say he hasn't received it as a gift yet:) Maybe one day...
now what's the word of the day? I'm bored, hockey on TV here...I'd rather read my dictionary:)
I looked up "lapidate" in my "good" dictionary (you know, the kind that comprises two hefty volumes). It means "stone to death"!
Now we know!
I'm not either, but I am surrounded by them...I'm not convinced-but maybe we need to pay more attention:) Of course, as always I hesitate to play for fear of getting her knickers in a knot:D Wouldn't want her to think she has been forgotten so easily:):)
must be the reason you want to say Detroit. These things never cross my mind - I am not a hockey fan! My son is a big Red Wings fan though. Very clever Dy'n!
I was serious when I said it was quieter without Artsy - I'm cleaning my house!
you are definately missed...
invite you to a guessing game & then not participate...sorry, didn't mean to be rude...enexpected dinner guests...too much wine..
why do I want to say ?
We miss you too. That is, at least I, the royal "we", does (do?). I get the feeling our pal Dy'n2decor8 does, too....
You had better hurry back to shake things up. Rouse the rabble. Give the cage a rattle. Rattle the rabble.
Too bad I don't keep my old copies of Western Living.
my looser friends AND am going through a major case of forum withdrawl!
I had the opportunity to check D & D ... must I come home to shake things up? :D
And ... where ARE all of my so called friends??? I am finally able to sneak a peak and poof, you are all gone, sniff sniff. :(
You know I have been called a pathetic loser by better people than Artsy!
I think.
She may have gone to the mountains (Jasper or Banff) for a break...who does business on the weekend? Who goes far away for only three days? My sweetie and I go to Calgary to shop or to Canmore to visit relatives when we need a little break. If we go farther, we usually take a few more days off work and make it more worthwhile.
Her gate is the key. She is fortunate I am not a psychopath (except the Italiana half, of course).
Now we will have pleased Ms. Artsy, by talking about her while she is gone...gone, but not forgotten.
I bought an 80's mix cd today...it was fun to drive around with my daughter while she rolled her eyes at "She Blinded me With Science" and complained that "Mony Mony" was too long! I thought of all my forum pals while I was listening!
