My hubby and I are planning to bake a ham for Easter dinner. Any suggestions for good side dishes that go with ham??

I love risotto too & Dreamer I'm going to try your recipe too...I've been making one like Smoodgie's where you have to add the broth & stir (and stir and stir and stir and stir and stir) so I'm happy to find a version that doesn't require that!

Is Arborio Italian rice??

I like your recipe for risotto better than the one I have, because yours doesn't require me (or my hubby) to stand there stirring it and adding one cup of broth at a time as the liquid evaporates!!

I love risotto!! I'll go check out your recipe.

As of now, we're thinking ham, stuffing, potatoes of some sort, green beans, and cauliflower with cheese sauce. Not sure if all they all go together, but we like them and that's all that matters, right?! :D

I love scalloped potatoes with ham. If you don't feel like peeling all those potatoes, consider the risotto recipe I posted on Mystique's "any side dish suggestions" thread. When I make risotto this way, it is consumed in vast quantities by everyone at the table, so I have come to think of it as a very good recipe!

I'm planning to make potatoes of some sort too, and my hubby suggested green beans. The recipe you posted sounds good -- I might try it too :)

I'm also going to continue my grandma's annual Easter tradition of making sticky buns.... YUM!!

I love ham (poor little piggies).

I plan to serve mine with roasted potatoes & I thought I'd try this new green bean recipe I found on allrecipes.com:
