Emerald cedars

We have 12 year old grouping of 3 large emerald cedars at front of our home. We removed a large shrub from in front of grouping and of course there is a large bald spot. Landscape designer would like to remove cedars also. I don't want to lose the mature grouping (tudor style home).
Any suggestions about how to camophlage the dead area. (It is about 2.5 - 3 feet high in the center of the grouping)? Would appreciate your ideas...

It could fill in over time, but you would have to wait and see. Trim the brown area, if possible, and the surrounding bits of green by 1" to stimulate growth in that area.

If you want to place a new plant in front to cover it, maybe consider an azalea. You can to select one that reaches a height no higher than the brown. Some are more leggy, so you may wish to select one that is dense/leafy year-round.

i dont know the reason you removed the cedar but if you like the emerald cedar look why not just replace the spot with another cedar the same size? If u wanted another look entirely...how about a flowerless weeping mulberry?...you can control the growth by pruning
