I usually buy the one in the blue label tin at Safeway, but I'm tired of it and I want to try something new. I used to buy Murchie's Best blend, but it was a little expensive (in comparison) for every day. I tried the Superstore brand in all varieties (gold, yellow, or white tin) but I think it is a bit more 'acid' than what I'm used to. I often buy the Breakfast Blend flavoured beans at any grocery store when I have company over, or when I need a change. We have a cappucino machine too, but we haven't used it for years.
So, what's your favourite brew? Are you true to one brand, or do you use one for everyday and something else for company?

Thanks for the help. My Save-on-Foods carries it, but I didn't find it in the coffee aisle. The store I visited has an aisle for Natural/Health foods, and they have it there.
I get the German brand of coffee called TCHIBO, found at Loblaws, the mellow roast and dark roast are really tasty, I always get compliments from guests on my coffee! Try it and keep me posted...
Fendi
Montreal
I get it at the Independent Grocer, which is one of the Loblaws stores. If they keep it on the shelves here, then I would think any Loblaws affiliated grocery store could get it.
Good luck!

I live on Vancouver Island, and that's where I buy it, and I kinda think Thrifty's may only be on the Island. Have you tried Save On Foods? Maybe Coopers?
You may have to hop on the ferry just to get good coffee! I'm addicted to the stuff so I don't feel that would be too unreasonable! ;)
Gotta love the name-what coffee lover could resist one with that kick to it? Not only would I like to try it, I think it would be fun to include that blend in any gift baskets I make up for friends and family at Christmas.
Does anyone know which stores in the greater Vancouver area carry it? I did find the website (www.kickinghorsecoffee.com) where I could order direct, but I thought I might see if local stores carry it. I checked Safeway quickly but didn't find it.
Many thanks for the hot tip!
We use Tim Horton's every day and a blend of your choice from Blendz or Starbucks for extra special.
If you are from out West you should try KICKING HORSE COFFEE it is made in Invermere BC and uses only organic coffee and Co op coffee so the growers get the money . It is great and has several different blends KICKASS is really good. Capstick
Kicking Horse coffee is the best!! I especially love the Kick Ass blend. If I am serving coffee to company who may prefer a less bold blend, I make Pacific Pipeline also by Kicking Horse Coffee.
I like the beans at Costco (their store brand). I love grinding my beans fresh -- I think that's what makes the coffee.
I have Kick Ass in the pot right now!
Great coffee!
Available in the grocery store up here in the north!
Yippee!
And the morning coversation options are endless:
"Do you want some kick ass?"
"I'll take some more kick ass, please."
etc.etc.
Sometimes we need fun in the morning.
Especially this morning. It is 9:40 and the snow hasn't melted yet!

How can you go wrong with a name like that! Grind the beans and use a french press and its the best!
Creme Brulee, from Costco. I got it as a hostess gift a few weeks ago. It's absolutely delicious!!!
I adore Balzacs coffee from Stratford or the distillery district in Toronto. Their Farmer's Blend is delicious. I'm just about out - thank goodness they do mail order!
At the moment we are enjoying Van Houtte, 100% Colombian, medium roast.
We like the Presidents Choice brand.
Have tried others more expensive and go back to PC.
we are coffee freaks and love it dark and strong...we find the PC brand (extra fine grind) about the best for us and we have tried them all..$6.99 for the large can
awesome coffee shop. They are Italian and fantastic. There is one in West Van and one in Kerrisdale. I know that some other shops carry the brand as well. Worth checking it out.

Love it! It's a bit more expensive, but so worth it to me. Especially the French roast. It's rich & bold, yet still smooth...Mmmmm...I could go for a good steamy cup right now! :D
BTW, Costco sells 2 pound bags of Starbucks coffee for around $20. It's around $13 for 1 pound in the stores, so it's a pretty good deal.
I don't drink coffee usually but my husband really loves the Melitta Estate Blends South American Dark. Not expensive either! :)
