Purists may not consider this topic to be Gardening, however... I have been looking for a particular style of outdoor/patio chair with no luck. They seem to be in every garden book and magazine I look at, including Canadian ones, but no-one seems to actually sell them. Usually called bistro or caf'e chairs, they are made of metal with curved slat seats and backs. They fold, and come with or without arms. They are usually dark green, but I have seen them in white, or black metal with natural wood. I know IKEA sells this last colour, armless only, for only $35!!! However, I'd really like them with arms and in green. I've searched the web for hours, and found nothing in Canada. The only thing I've found is one American site, Smith & Hawken, where I can buy two (they call them Parisian Park Chairs) for $239 US. Convert that to Cdn, add duty, add taxes, add shipping - a little beyond my budget. If anyone knows where I can find these elusive items I would appreciate hearing from you.

I did some online searching to see if I could help, but I came up with nothing either. I will definitely keep my eyes open for you, though. Most of the bistro chairs seem to be all-metal, and not all of them fold. Many are a little pricey as well.
I never saw the ones with arms until I looked at the site you mentioned. Of the ones without arms I totally agree-they seem to be in so many magazines but you don't tend to see them in stores. Until now I thought they must be great vintage finds.
