When we were in Europe, our friend told us about a German dumpling that he thinks is absolutely delicious. We couldn't find anywhere that sells it, so now that we're back home, I'm on the hunt for a recipe so I can try making it.
Our friend said it's called "demph knoedelen" (not sure how to spell it). It's a steamed dumpling with vanilla custard poured over it and cinnamon sprinkled on top.
Anyone know what I'm talking about, or possibly have a recipe??
