I remember getting House & Home magazine back in the 80's. My mother got a subscription (for me) and she kept it going for many years. It must have been around 1985, when I got married.
I wish I'd kept all my older issues. I have only a couple of oldies, and I still enjoy looking through them.

magazine I'm currently subscribed to. I'm into the second year of it's subscription and really enjoy reading it and getting ideas from it. I also enjoy this website :)
Since I read decorating magazines for entertainment, I take it out of the entertainment budget, not the decorating budget. (figure that I have it coming to me-we've got kids so we don't go out as much as we used to!) I have cut down on the US publications somewhat, since the pricetag of some is up around $7.99 Canadian. The kid's room ones are a favourite that I try not to miss-love the ideas. H&H is most definitely my favourite though, and the only one I have ever had a subscription for. The quality is consistent, and I've never seen an issue I didn't like.
Paula: you are not banned, LOL! I swear I saw a "nother" publication in a picture of Cameron's place-even H&H staff read others.
Not to dis the Americans, but I prefer Cdn. magazines not just because the sources are Canadian, but I prefer the decorating style for the most part too.
Not sure what it is, but I find the rooms in Canadian mags have a cleaner look & feel
Me too! I would rather read Canadian so I can source something I want. I do purchase BHG Kid's Rooms magazines when they come out, too. Good for ideas.
I've only been a suscriber for a year, but a loyal reader for 10. Don't ask me what took so long to subscribe!
I love the magazine. I also enjoy Style at Home (am I allowed to say that on this website? ;) )
isn't even over, but it couldn't be better timing as I decorate my home. I'm saving all my issues - I've learned from everyone else - you never know when you may want to look up something.
