OK

This is more Jason's department than mine, but he's really busy, so I asked him about this. The long and the short of it is that we're always trying to enhance our services, so your thoughts will be taken into consideration. Right now is a particularly busy time, but who knows what the near future will hold?
I might as well throw my 2 cents in! I totally support the 1 hour show idea and I love the Lynda Consultation Contest Idea.
A few other suggestions, if I may:
-I'd love to see on the forum is the name of the replier beside the post subject.
-wouldn't it be fun to allow the members to a Bio. I'm a member of The Knot and we can create Bios with text and pictures. We link our pictures from another source as to not use The Knot bandwitdh. This would allow us to share more tips and pictures.
Just some thoughts!
It's plan to see these ladies are just trying to kiss up to you so you can pull strings for them on the show. If they only gave credit where credit is due, then they would be thanking me for asking the questions in the first place. Ladies it is not below me to be bribed, any painters, house cleaners or great cooks out there. Just kidding I won't forget you all when Lynda invites me on her show. lol
You're fabulous-have we mentioned that?!? :)
It is very gratifying to have someone from the show be our voice from the forums. The chance to be even more connected would be a dream for many of us.
for considering the requests posted! How refreshing to know someone actually listens to suggestions! I think this forum is excellent and have attached personalities to the forum users. When I see a name come up I feel I know whose posting. I hope that doesn't sound weird, I find it comforting and familiar. Like asking a friend over coffee advice and just chatting. Speaking of chatting.... would love to hear a chat room is in our future!
You're the best Jody. It really is nice to have someone to listen to our ideas and then have someone do something to try to make them happen. That says alot! Keep up the great work. I love the show and this forum.
Thank you so much. You've made my day.
Also, I wanted to let everyone know that I was talking to one of our producers about the 'Lynda consultation idea'....We're going to have a meeting about it, so I'll let you know what happens!!
What other forum do you know where someone from your favourite show comes on and gives you the inside scoop? Thanks Jody - you are awesome.
Jody,
If the show is open to ever having an audience or maybe doing a 1 hour special a few times a year, maybe once a season... can you send all of us forum loyalist tickets? We'll be sure to fill your seats and the "Ask A Designer" segment will certainly go into overtime.
sasa
Well, I'll start off by letting you know that I'm not a male...
J-o-d-y is the male spelling version of the name though. Most females with my name spell it J-o-d-i.
Anyway, on to the good stuff...
For right now, we will be sticking to our original set size...just because we're already quite far into the planning process for our upcoming season. I can pass along your thoughts though.
Just to ease your mind, I have already brought up the notion of bringing together some sort of segment with our awesome forum-users. We still have plenty of time to plan, so never say never.
As for the 1-hour long episode. There have been discussions about this with our network, but as of right now, I'm not sure what will happen with that. You'll be the first to know if something should happen!
Hope that helps.
Talk to you soon.
Jody
if someone could win a consultation! I hope it's not just for people in the Toronto area, the rest of the country seems to get left out of all these makeover shows.
ps I always picture Jody as a male - did I miss something on one of these posts?
Also maybe a one hour episode. Sometimes you get so caught up in the show and then before you know it Lynda is saying, "We'll be right back with your design questions.", and you know you only have like 5 minutes left of the show.
Just another thought. Is it possible to have a bigger set, one that has room for an audience, sort of like Cityline but maybe not as big?
I'm a big fan of it too. Almost everyone who knows me knows I discovered this forum and love it!
Maybe we should all put our decorating on hold until we can get more out of Jody!! Lets take her out and get her drunk!! ;)
HAAAAAA! Just kidding :o
Well since we, those of us on this forum, seem to be the biggest fans, I think they should choose someone from here. I rave about this site at work all the time. Also when I'm at Home Depot, Homesense or Loblaws I tell them how much publicity they are getting from this site.
twist???? what could that mean? hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
The wheels are turning in my head now.
Great question Michael!
;)
We are currently in the planning stages for this falls' season. Without giving anything away, I can say that we have an interesting twist on this idea that we've been working on.
:)
