My new Ikea planter/stand was looking poorly all summer, as the nasturtiums I tried out really didn't do so well. (and the aphids they get were a bit much too) So, just for the delight of the trirck-or-treaters I thought I'd spruce things up near the door for the volume of people we'll get. We always get 80+ around here. It's a bit lanky as I just watered it down, but I'm feeling quite accomplished, especially since I was out there doing it in the dark! The carport lighting helped a bit, but not much as the best of it is motion-sensor and I had to keep walking out to it to get it on each time it timed out. :laugh:

I find that with a good company for my home's exterior I can concentrate more on my flower bed. I found a great company doing exterior housework in the Oakville, Mississauga, Milton and Burlington area. They're very professional and I recommend them to others. You can find them if you need them at
A Golden Touch. They do window cleaning, gutter cleaning, Christmas lighting and exterior painting. I can't wait for my roses this year!
We did do a bit of decorating last year. I don't have too many new tricks up my sleeve for this year, but I'm hoping to add a bit more! :)
