OK

I purchased a GE Electric Dryer. It was a superb experience for me. GE Appliances
Fridge-Subzero
Stove- Viking
Dishwasher- Bosche
all in stainless steel finish
i would say ANYTHING but MAYTAG...i got the washer/dryer. slide in stove/dishwasher and fridge...washer is OK...dryer has been fixed twice in less than 2 years and still sounds like there is a screw loose in there (nope its NOT me) and the stove is OK...dishwasher cleans well but there is a middle water jet and it doesnt hold many dishes and the FRIDGE...I HATE it...like smoodgie says...water is room temp...the ice keeps jamming and the side by side is just too small for pizzas, turkeys or anything big...its smaller than the side by side I had before that was GE and not as quiet...boo, am just sorry, altho they are black and look good its just not enough (filter is over $70 each year too)
I was leaning towards the GE Profile series of appliances. I would love to get more professional appliances but I just don't have the space.
We bought a Maytag wide-by-side fridge 1-1/2 years ago, and I LOVE it. It's big, it's well lit, it's easy to find things, you can raise and lower the top shelf in the fridge with a crank, I think you can adjust the positions of the door shelves (although I haven't done this), the freezer has lots of shelves and drawers and baskets on the door, the ice & water dispenser is super-handy.... my only complaint is that the water comes out at room temperature, not cold.
Of course, you can get a way more elaborate and extrvagant fridge if price is no object, but the Maytag wide-by-side is a great fridge for a good price :)
would also choose the restaurant quality appliances if I had the room for them, they last forever.
For my new house I shopped all the brands and ended up choosing all GE appliances. They are available in all types of styles and finishes, had the best warranty, and were a decent price for what you get.
I used to have Maytag, but for the name , they are really not worth it.
And LG is not all its cracked up to be, I have the front loader washer and dryer by them, for the money I could have gotten a much better top loader.
My suggestion is just to shop around, many stores now have operational displays you can try, but also keep an eye on the warranties.
I have purchased an Amana fridge that is slightly wider than normal but if price was no object a large resturant style Sub Zero. A friend has one it doesn't have that much more room inside I just like the way it looks.
For a stove it depends on what you are looking for I have a garland but I also like the Wolff ones those are the large industrial size with the red knobs. If price was not object I strongly recommend you get the eight burners with the large oven and smaller oven. I totally regret not pruchasing this especially at time when we are entertaining 25-30 people. Of course the wall mounted ovens are also ideal.
Dishwasher was Bosch I love it! It doesn't have many cycle (only 3) but it cleans well and is whisper quiet. Miele is supposedly the best although I have heard some recent complaints about it.
Definetly need a garberator in the kitchen to cut down on hosehold food waste
Hope this helps :)
