The lily in the picture strongly resembles an asiatic lily shown in Veseys 2004 fall Bulb catalogue on page51. It is called "Lollipop". Hope this is right and can help you.

thank you both. It was growing in some dense ground cover in the shade
and 2 weeks ago I spotted it and moved it in the sun. It is lovely and it must have been buried by a squirrel who forgot where it was hidden as I never planted it. Always a surprise. It is med. pink with white spots on the petals and white throat.

This looks like Marco Polo (oriental).Sometimes its hard to tell from photos as the colors aren"t true.Very pretty.
