Okay everyone, put on your best landscape design caps and get creative, because I am having brain freeze on this front flower bed. This is a full sun area.
As you can see, I have planted a Japanese Maple. Yesterday I found a cute spriea bush, so I put that beside the tree. I love the contrast, and think they will look great together once they both grow and fill in. I would really like some ideas on what type of tree to put behind the Japanese Maple. The house is quite tall, and I think I need fullness and height to soften the corners of the house, balance, and also to compliment the Japanese Maple.
The bushes on the right are hydrangeas, the Endless Summer variety. They should get quite large.
I would also love some suggestions on how to fill in the rest of that big flower bed. I was thinking that perhaps two or three burning bushes would look nice, with lilies, irises, etc around them for colour. But I am open to absolutely any suggestions.
