How practical is wicker or aluminum furniture? The price range for different manufactures/stores is huge. Is it worse to spend more money? Last year I even didn't consider wicker, but recently I saw interesting modern style that looks much better than aluminum, althought aluminum chairs are comfortable and high.
Your opinion please.

Hello Mrs.Fancy,You may want to check out our Patio Furniture Picks photo gallery for some inspiration on which materials to go with. Or our article on How To Choose Outdoor Furniture may help you decide.I hope that helps!Gwen McAuley (gmcauley at hhmedia.com)
was it their Exotic Caymen collection? This is something that I put my eye on.
Just bought a pair of resin wicker ones earlier last month from Canadian tire, for $59 each. They are suppose to be all weather resistant and they are comfortable as well.
I went to many news stores, Coles - none of them had/heard of Chocolat. Only at Indigo the sales person showed me the french version. Maybe our local library will have it. What month was it April or May?
Thanks, Janet, I'll go to Coles tomorrow and get it.
i just recieved an issue of the magazine Chocolat....they have an article in there that you may find interesting....they listed the pros and cons of all the different types of patio furniture, including alluminim and wicker. If i had a scanner i would have attached the page...perhaps you could pick this issue up.

Thank you all for your feedback, now I feel like I can spend the money.
I have an aluminium set from Sears for three years now. Stays outside through winter. The cushions are still goo too.
I have resin wicker chairs that I have had for about 9 years. Never had a problem. They are comfortable.
I have the ones that are aluminum with the woven plastic wicker look and they are very comfortable and stood up to the weather really well. For the price I paid I am very ahppy with them. I bought them at Zellers for around $250 for a square glass top table and 4 chairs and umbrella.
There are many great styles now made with the plastic woven wicker which is pretty weather resistant.
