PIC-back to an unfinished needlework project

Now that I have the H&H Poppy shams for my MBR, I remembered an unfinished needlework project that I have to finish. I had purchased several small floral kits for my former home, but I wasn't sure I'd use them in this house.

Anyway, I'm all inspired to finish a series of these now-I have about 14 of the 4x4 designs, and I'll have to find a place for them. I had no flowery plans for this house, but I still love them so I'll figure out a way.

Here is a sampling:

great idea. You never know, it might become a sort of family tradition. I used to love going to my grandma's and looking through her stuff, when she said "take it" it was like finding treasure (i was 7 when she died)! I'm determined to give my grand children (long way off, I know) that same experience. Being a pack rat isn't always a bad thing:)

they are all quite particular about what they choose for their walls.

I plan to be like my husband's lovely grandmother was. I remember being in her room once when she opened a drawer of her dresser and said, "you lika de crochet? TAKE IT!" She had a number of handworked crocheted doilies and such stockpiled in that drawer that she had done over the years when she'd had her own house. So, whatever I do in cross-stitch that does not get used, or that the kids don't want, will end up in a drawer to give to visitors one day down the road........but I'll likely need TWO drawers for it!

I really like those. Have fun making them. You could even give a couple away as gifts, do you have any friends who garden?
