I have purchased the powdered egg whites stuff (for cookie icing) previously at, I think, Ming Wo. Are there any other stores that carry it? It would be nice to find it in a Safeway, Save-on-foods, Superstore. It's a shame to have to find parking at the mall to run out and get this item at Christmas. Anybody know of another source?

I don't think we have a Bulk Barn, but I should have thought of Michaels. I was just there and got a huge cooling rack-never even thought to look for this powdered stuff.

I believe Bulk Barn carries the meringue powder, as well. Not sure if you have them in your neck of the woods, though!

I know, it is hard to track down. Another thing I can recommend is Merangue Powder for icing. It is essentially powdered egg white, but with corn starch added to keep it from clumping. It's more expensive than just plain powdered egg white, but stores that carry cake decorating accessories often carry it. It's made by Wilton and comes in a cardboard cannister. Michaels' has it, and like I said, most places that carry Wilton baking/decorating supplies would most likely carry it too.

try health food stores. Any of them that sell bulk food (as opposed to a just a shop that sells suppliments) would carry it.
