Is it just me...???....
Is it always necessary to use the "quote" function?
I generally read thru the posts, therefore I understand when someone is 'answering' a question pertaining to his/or /her comments...
but I find lately all these quotes make for pages of posts...
without naming names, Glaswegian, ha, know you can handle it...
is there something I'm missing...

Let's just not... shall we?
Thank you.
what are you going on about? handouts! please enlighten us as to the gov't assistance in the U.K then. i think you are barking up the wrong country tree here glas...confusing back homes gov't assistance for single mothers with multiple children and near free housing ...the lack of incentive for working in the UK shouldn't be confused with what goes on in Canada.
you're being an ASS!
Um, landed immigrants ARE eligible for government assistance.
That is right, because a landed immigrant is entitled to handouts right? Shows how much you know about this country, and you call yourself Canadian? Ignorance is bliss as they say.
I am not entitled to any handouts in this country, because am not a citizen, that is why I have to work my arse off, instead of claiming handouts. Oh...and my taxes are surely helping pay this to you by the way.
Yes...I work for one of the major IT firms in the world actually if you must know, and I get paid nicely for it.
Pearl_girl, I guess you don't know what IT stands for then eh?
You work? If you really work you'd be fired pretty quick.
Where are my government handouts by the way?
I suspect YOU are the one getting government assistance here. I don't begrudge you for that either.
I see the number of posts in a day and night. when I do get here. IT business>?
Are you a moderator with an alias.? A Moderator would have the H&H page open all the time I would think. I still think you are in the H & H control booth there Glas. Fess up as some of all this is making me just a tad nervous about being on here.
You have nothing to fear from me, the harm is probably closer to home in most cases anyway, and from the unlikely sources. I work in the IT business, and my job requires me to be online, most times.
you have been a member since Jan 2006 and you 957 posts.
What kind of company do you work for?
I don't post any more than you do, when am at work, yes I have the page open, and respond to posts. How do you know am on here all the time anyway?

woot woot!
thanks for the heads up on the Trivia. Yes some things are unnerving lately.
I think what unerves me is a working male, who spends so many daily hours and night logged on here. I would almost think he lived in the forums control booth. Now Glas are you in the booth at H&H forums?
Did you just quote a post? :D The quote police are out you know
woot woot! hee hee
There is always the danger when you go onto any site, even when you are talking to people you don't know, be it female or male. There are measures you can take, but those measures only go so far.
Am in a business that advises people about this, and teaches way to protect themselves on the internet.
and there are many resources available to users to take measures to protect individuals on this. I know that insinuations have been made by a certain male member in the past that have made many of the female members on here feel threatened. Just thought I would remind them all to take the necessary precautions.
CHEERS
Every site collects your information, just for the record.
well done RG!
YTou are not worth a pm, don't flatter yourself, like I said, you are just a sad individual that comes on here to get her kicks and pleasure, as she has nowhere else to get it
You talk about opinions, why is it that you have problems with mine? I don't threaten anyone, it's not my style, am just doing what the mods and admin ask, report anything before it gets out of hand.
Oh..some of us do have to work, instead of waiting for handouts for the governement you know

I just had to be the one to quote
thanks for the heads up!!
that was hubby no. 3 who pointed that out.
tries to gather browser information or so my hubby pointed out - need to be careful there too ladies! Make sure you access from a safe location or your information can be logged by whoever set that trivia site up.
the member Glaswegian posts his opinions on many a thread. If we cannot post an opinion for fear of a mini meltdown from him then it is a sad state of affairs. I often read his posts as like it or lump it. It comes across that way to me.
Well you know I do not like all the quotes and the rest of you can speak for yourselves if you feel strongly about the topic.
What are the guidelines on quoting........I do not think I have found any.
Thanks in advance to anyone who only quotes when absolutely needed .
Everyone....I apologize for the quote thing, and now that I know it's getting on some nerves, I'll try to just respond direct to someone if need be..
On a different note..............have you all noticed how 3blackcats tries to stir up trouble at every little opportunity she gets? I just want to draw it to your attentions, because when things get out of hand, you won't think am the bad person. Why is it that she judges my posts? Do I do the same to you 3blackcats? You have the option to ignore my posts, and I thought I was on your ignore list anyway, what happened there? Must be what they do where you come from eh, and that will explain a lot about your situation, I mean who want to live with that day in day out?
She starts fire, and when one fights fire with fire, she gets into a fit
Cathie.....was there any need for that remark?
all is quiet on the home front....must be meds time...lol... :D
Really? Ya think? :D
His posting frenzy sure confirms that.
i suspect there is control issues there.....and it's not coming from the lovely philb
:D You're just asking for one of his mini melt downs, like I got this morning. He'll threaten to report the thread so things don't get out of control or whatever......
The quoting is probably what they do in the UK and surely you have realized by now, we are all idiots over here in his opinion.
The only member who has used the quote feature repeatedly is Glasweigian. It is very tiresome.
If a post offends me I ignore the content as you cannot tell the context it was posted in anyway.
Yes some of his/hers I see offensive and over bearing from my point of view , which may or may not be the case with anyone else.
have been forced into quoting to try and get our points and more specifically our concerns across in response to something that has offended us or as an attempt to clarify that what was said should be taken in the context we are reading it in.
indeed have there place...however it seems that some use it with every posting or reply they do......i really don't think its necessary and i concur it does get tiresome. i suspect we're all intelligent adults here and don't need to be reminded everytime with repeated quotes to be able to keep up with whats going on in a thread.
