We have actually painted the wainscotting in the master bathroom in an off white (olde eggshell from home depot) and it complements quite well with all the other fixtures that are stark white.
If you are going to get a sample, I would get the sample pot of paint. It is more practical than the big chip in my opinion.
It's a very popular colour for trim, but I strongly recommend getting either their tester pot sample or their Big Chip sample so that you can test the colour in the light of your home. I don't favour it in mine because it shows a lot of pink and yellow in the light I have. I plan to try decorator white for trim in my home.
BM cloud white throughout our house for trim and doors and I've never felt that in the bathrooms that the sinks/tub/toilet were dramatically noticeably different. We even have a painted trim piece around part of our tub which I've never thought of before as standing out.
used as trim colour works well against the white of bathroom fixtures.
smokey taupe BM is a nice pair with cloud white.
Most of the historical colours in the BM paint deck go great with Cloud White. I have used Shakers Beige (Not so taupey), Bleekers Beige, Lennox Tan, I don't have a fan deck with me tonight otherwise I would give you more names. A lot of the colours on the Bleekers beige chip are nice. If I get the fan deck back tomorrow I will give you more of the Taupe names and numbers.
PS Shakers's Beige goes very well with cloud white and black accessories
I haven't actually picked the wall colour as far as the name/number- but it will be taupe and then the oval mirror will be black - any suggestions for a taupe colour that looks great with cloud white and I'll take too! Thanks!
Depending on your wall colour may depend on the white you use. To use a white as stark as your bathroom fixtures is TOO white. Cloud White tends to compliment most and won't be as harsh.
Have you picked a wall colour?
