Hey Inglewood :)
Yes it certainly is a nice house complete with a pool in the back. Did you by any chance get to see it for real.
I remember from an earlier show that he did some work on an Old Oak Rd. house for another couple that were friends of his. Like I was saying he tends to stick to the same general neighbohood.
Have a good day!
Maybe he is building again. The recent Cape Cod was on Chestnut Hill. Nice house!
Mickey Dee, how did you find the address on Old Oak road?
Hey Inglewood :)
I went to www.canada411.com and hit the "Find a Business" tab, filled in the required info and found his business address at 56 Old Oak Road in Etobicoke. I think the website also shows a map of the address as well. The phone no. listed is the same as on Jim's truck. I think before that, he was on Chestnut Parkway. He seems to move from one street to another in the SAME general neighborhood.
I am hoping if enough of us fans of Real Renos write to the producer, maybe we can encourage her to continue bringing us the show.
If anyone out there is interested, write to:

I hope it is not "The End" Maybe it is contract disputes that is holding it up. The show is too HOT to not continue. I don't know how many men watch it, but I do know it definitely appeals to a female audience. EYE CANDY....that is for sure and you learn a little something along the way....hahaha

Hey Canadian Soapy :)
I read your last post on the above and remembered sending a hotmail to the production company of RR (Smashing Pictures), a while back. They sent me a response which I am going to copy here. I tried attaching the email but for some reason it didn't work, so here goes....
"Thanks for your e-mail; I'm glad you enjoy the show so much! As far as Real Renos is concerned it is "The End" of the season. However, what the future holds for Real Renos has not been decided as yet because we are working on other projects. Hope that answers you question a bit.
Thanks for watching!"

Soooo, that's how it goes for now I guess. I think if enough of we fans of the show keep writing to the above company, encouraging them to keep producing the show, we just might see it again in fall '06. here's hoping...
mickeydee
Is that the last episode of the season, or period? Looking at the listing on HGTV.ca it shows it to be the last episode period. Yikes! I enjoy the humor of the show, and watching them struggle with renovation - can totally relate. I agree, I hope they continue to produce the show next year, if this is a season break, doesn't anyone know if season 5 is the last season or not?
Signed: still waiting in Edmonton
Susan Hay is not my fave. She seems so phony on air and starlet like. He can do better.
Hey Inglewood
I have been trying to find out what the real story is about Jim and Susan, but haven't had much luck yet. If anyone out there knows how to get that info, please let us know. I will keep trying because the investigator in me doesn't give up easily.
The last Real Renos show of the season aired last night. I am hoping they will continue to produce this show for fall 2006. In the meantime (if anyone is interested, there is a new show on HGTV called Handyman Superstar and J.C. will be one of the judges along with Mike Holmes to pick their successor (so to speak). I hope that show will be interesting.
Have a good day! :)
Is this for real that he and Susan Hay were an item or are an item? Fact or rumour?

Hey, Canadian Soapy
I'm with you! I tried asking a National Post gossip columnist whether or not he and Susan Hay are still an item but haven't heard anything back yet. Even if they are dating (as I said previously), I don't think they are married yet, so I would imagine he could date anyone he chooses to.
Have a great day
If I lived there, I would so totally go 4 it. Trust me on that! U let us know what happens. I'm a little skeptical on the whole Susan Hay thing, but then again, who knows. I'm not one to tread on another lady's turf, but I'd probably make an exception in this case...

Hey dany :)
Which neighborhood, do you live in Etobicoke? I think that's where he lived last as far as I can make out from the show. His business seems to be listed on Old Oak Road (Etobicoke) now. So did you ask him out - I hope so. Good luck!!
mickeydee
Yeah, we'd like to know! Anything happen? I'm gonna assume that you haven't seen him around the neigbourhood lately, right?
Did you ask him out yet? Inquiring minds want to know.
Why not ask him out? He seems to be such a nice guy! Considering that the episodes are taped months in advance before they are aired, he may be single again (if the hostess was his significant other at the time of his b-day bash..)
I'll root for ya! Good luck, Dany!
Really, go ahead, the worst that can happen is he can say no!
I recently saw an episode in which Jim was celebrating a B.Day, I noticed that there was an attractive woman serving his cake, playing the hostess etc., it looked as if she might be "his significant other"
