Has anyone tried this tea it is so good caffeine free and is good for you. It comes from South Africa is really a herb. It tastes like regular tea but does not get stronger as it steeps. It takes 10 minutes to steep then it can even be reheated. Excellent as hot or iced tea DH likes his with lemon I found it on Sunday at the Farmers Market and just love it. It boosts the immune system and is high in ant-oxidents which increase as it steeps. :)

then all of a sudden you start to hear it all the time. Walking down the street today, I saw an ad for Rooibos at Pharmasave. I'm not a tea drinker otherwise I would have bought some. Maybe I still will; it might have been a sign.
You sound as excited about Rooibos as I am about discovering chai tea! Two different worlds trading!
Cheers!..um, what do you say for tea!? Pinkies up! :D
When I bought this tea I thought of you that you would know about it. It is sooooooooooooo good and I like it clear, DH likes it with lemon. I am so happy I have found it.
I am South African, and have grown up with Rooibos tea (closest pronounciation I can think of is: Roy-Boss). Great tea for babies and adults too, make without milk, tastes better.
I saw it in Fortinos, original and a couple of added flavours.
Glad you like it, enjoy! ;)
I am an ex-South African and the way rooibos tea is prepared by the folks who like it really strong is to put the tea kettle on the stove, add the tea and let it boil with the water. In the old days this tea pot would stand on the Aga coal stove and pretty much perk the entire day. It does get really strong then. You can almost taste the iron in the tea. In South Africa most babies are brought up on rooibos tea rather than sweet juices. A weak tea is made and the babies love this. If you have a colicky baby then this is definitely the way to go. Soothes the tummy wonderfully.
You can buy rooibos tea at most grocery stores these days. Save-on Foods, London Drugs etc. If you want the real home grown product (not the gourmet flavoured teas) try Serengeti on Marine Drive in North Vancouver (they've just moved location). They stock only South African food products and their prices are better than the grocery stores and various tea shops - about $3 for a box of tea. They also take orders online: http://www.sasausages.com/Serengeti.htm
I believe the Clippers are 5-0 so far this year. (yup they are - just checked their website). If U want to check up on the latest for the Clippers here is their website.

I'll check it out and drop in their next time I'm in Nanaimo. BTW how are the Clippers doing I have 2 sons that are former Clippers.
I found their website:

It has some great info about Rooibos and U can order their tea online too.
And here is the website for the loose tea store that I go to in Nanaimo (in case U R interested). I think they have more varieties of tea in the store than they do online though.

The tea I get is from Cortes Island and it is great.it is from a small company called the Gather Place. I believe they have a web site but not sure I haven't looked it up.
Jeep. I love Rooibos Tea. One of my girlfriends introduced me to it a few years ago when I was in Vancouver. There are several different varieties. I can't remember all the types I have tried. I have a chocolate Rooibos right now from a local loose tea store. It smells fantastic although doesn't really taste chocolately. It is still good though.
If U want to check out some of the different varieties of Rooibos available check out the Granville Island Tea Company website (it's the only tea website I know of although i am sure there are many more if U google rooibos tea).
