Rosemary Plant

I have brought my rosemary plant in for the winter.  It just sprouted many purple flowers, is this common?  I have never had a plant survive over winter so when this happened I was very surprised.  Please give me some advise.
Thanks

Hello Giome,Yes, it's perfectly normal for a rosemary plant to flower when it reaches maturity. The flowers are edible, so they can be used to flavour dishes or dried like rosemary leaves for fragrance.Hope this helps!JenniferWeb promotions editor
