Hi everyone,
I have two of these trees - one in my front garden and one in the back. They were both planted last year, early spring and mid-summer. They've both grown and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to prune them. Of course, they're covered in green leaves. When do the leaves turn to the pinky/white variegated colour? Is pruning necessary at this stage?

Maybe you could call a nursery and they would advise you what to do.
You should prune it back some now. Prune to promote variegated foliage colour, otherwise it will remain quite green.
Early spring or late fall pruning usually.
