Our home's roof is 19 years old and i am considering a replacement. I want to know whether I should get a metal roof in place and what are the advantages over asphalt shingle roof. What would be the cost? Also I am looking for a roofing contractor for the job. I am in Toronto and is there any good roofing company where i can get both the material as well as installation service? Metal roof is a good choice these materials are really durable. Last for years.
Last year we improved our house with new roofs after around 14 years from these guys http://www.calvintageroofing.com and they are pretty good and in budget. You can try them if they serve in Toronto as well.
Call a few contractors and find out. They will give you the info you need and the references you want to check out. These roofs are more expensive and yes they do last longer, but check with folks who have them and let them guide you.
