Should we drywall over brick in sunroom addition?

We are adding a sunroom addition on the back of our house.  The room will have windows all around and vaulted ceiling (maybe pine or cedar...unless someone has another suggestion).

Our dilemma...we are not sure if we should drywall over the brick wall or leave the brick exposed.  We do plan on putting outdoor furnishings in the room (sectional couches, chairs etc).  The 3 other walls will be finished with drywall...although there is not much wall to see as we have so many windows.

Looking for comments & suggestions.

Thanks,

Nancy

Do not cover the brick with drywall. Paint it.  Chances are the brick unpainted might just be too much colour for the room, but maybe not. Painting allows you to match your room decor and also will help seal the brick. I like the thought of cedar and the smell, but pine works too and can help keep the room light.

Love, Love Love exposed brick if in the right colour - either natural or painted.  Some brick colour is just wrong and should be painted.  I would leave the brick exposed, maybe just painted white or off white.  It gives more dimension to a space (IMO).
