moving from one sub-forum (eg Dec and Design) to another (eg H&H Chat) is slow, slow slow.
going from a thread in a forum back to the list of threads is slow, slow, low
and the slowest of all is REPLYING ! and maybe even starting a new thread.
Another thing that has not been addressed are the member's albums
This new forum is NOT working at all for me; I do not have time to sit and wait for things to happen - I know, I sound like a whiny 16-year-old, but that's how I feel.
If you guys don't get all these issues, and all the others fixed, and real soon, more and more people are going to stop visiting. That would be such a shame, as we have lost so many already. In the last couple of months, the amount of posts has dropped to a trickle. I am sure you have ways of tracking number of posts, etc., and have seen that.
I have enjoyed the company of this "family" over the years, but I have other forums that I belong to, and although I will miss this one, I will not miss the hassles of navigating etc.
I also sent an e-mail about 3 weeks ago about one of the videos on the new onlineTV that was not working, but never got a response.

You need to check the server where your forum is hosted. Sometime, servers where we host our sites, get infected by malware and other viruses. You can also take the help of developers to check the forum on both server and client end.

We have been working on the suggestions you've been posting - and will continue to tweak going forward. We're trying very hard to get the next batch of changes rolled out by Christmas Day - thanks for your patience so far, and cheers!
Whew, I went away hoping that things would improve with time. They have not. I wish you all well. This forum used to be fun and easy. Not anymore. Almost like they are trying to get rid of the hassle of running it. Should be easy with no users.
bye
I'm willing to surrender as well. It's frustrating trying to navigate and a pain to continually have to log back in every time, but with so many leaving it isn't a fun place to be anymore.
So if anyone comes up with a place to go and hang out and be able to share our knowledge base, count me in and let me know.
I'll join you in your search for other forums and the reasons are the same so if anyone knows of some, please either post or PM.
I find it so funny (in an ironic sort of way) that they are working on yet another part of the site without sorting this part first. I suppose we can take that as indicative that they really don't consider this part of the site very important. I'm tired of waiting for the bumbling to be over and just find this very disheatening and unprofessional.
One thing we could do is just start our own forum. I am not sure which ones are best (but we could find out) but there are all sorts of options for free froums run by individuals. If you are interested in trying something like that, PM me.
Well, I am glad it is not just my computer that is so slow. I would be interested in knowing some other forums to visit.
I agree, too. I used to enjoy this forum but now it's not worth the trouble, and there is nothing happening on it anyway. I look in occasionally to see if anything has improved, but it never has. There have been many empty promises made and no action taken. The last progress report was on November 20 and I don't see any improvements since then. The problems are so widespread -- the ones that Reno mentioned, plus when you click on the "new posts" or "today's posts" button, you don't get everything that's either new or today's. The ads in the middle of the posts are annoying beyond belief. Sure doesn't make me want to buy the advertisers' products. To the contrary, I don't even come to the House and Home site, period, which means the advertisers are getting a lot less bang for their buck than before. But no one at House and Home seems to care. Kind of reflective of their whole corporate attitude, it seems.
