Does anyone know where I can find these. I was in East Hampton, visiting my brother over Easter and my SIL made a great cake using these. She says they have them in the grocery stores in the states but I have never seen them here. They came in plastic packages and were about 20 to a pack. I have used hard lady fingers before for cakes but this is so much easier for surrounding your pan. Any one seen them?

If you cannot find the soft ones try cutting up a vanilla pound cake or the round sponge cake layer used for the fruit flans and lining the pan with that. I can get them here in PQ in the grocery store as well.
Have you tried the Bulk Barn? They practically have everything under the sun there. I'm pretty sure that I've seen them there.
Ah Zulu,
I remember these as a child and my grandmother who lived with us, used to have them with her coffee as a treat and often spread the insides with jam. Yum. You know it's been a long time, but I do remember buying them in the grocery store and the one that was close to our house was a Loblaws and they're found in the bread/donut/coffee cake aisle. I do admit that I haven't seen them in a long time but I would have surley not missed picking them up for old time's sake.
They come about 20 -24 in a box and are dusted with icing sugar. I've had a wonderful frozen lemon mousse dessert where the entire sides of the cake are surrounded by these lady fingers, so they are available in Canada.
good luck
