Is there a section for FAQ? Just wondering after seeing all the small pictures on posts what the guidelines are these days as I can't seem to find anywhere that describes size, format, etc. like there used to be.
Also, a head's up. I was going through the galleries yesterday and the link that says 'view gallery' is in an odd (to me) position. It is right above (on my browser - Firefox) a picture of one of the sections/galleries but actually is the link to the gallery above it. The white space between the link and picture it relates to made me think the link was to the gallery below it. Just a little quirk that got me wondering until I figured it out but something that could be avoided if the spacing was more intuitive IMHO.

Okay, that helps a lot. Will there be an FAQ page to explain it to folks?
Also (personally) I don't find the descriptions on the button (in the image load page) are clear (well except for thumbnail which is pretty well known, or original which sounds straight forward but maybe the max preferred dimensions would be helpful to folks). Could there be something somewhere that describes what each does since it's not totally clear (to me) what preview might mean as a for instance.
Just testing to see how this works
just a test
thumbnail?
just a test
Just some testing - the maximum allowed size is now 625x1600, but you can still upload a larger image, it just won't show inline at that size - you can click to see the original image. No matter what, we have a filesize limit, so that things don't get completely bogged down and our harddrives don't catch on fire.
Hope this helps,
Mike
613x600, under the max, so inserted at the original size
Gingerbread original is 1200x675 but showing as thumbnail, since it's larger than the max. Click it to see the original size in a popup.
And again, but at a slightly smaller, 'preview' size
Hi, Dustbunnydiva, welcome back. We're making some tweaks to the image system to hopefully make things a bit easier - the limit is now 640x1600, with options to create different sizes below that (presets for thumbnail and preview sizes).
We will also tweak the default settings a bit to make it a bit nicer out of the box.
Regards,
Mike
