For Trade only...

What does this mean to the average shopper? I find lots of interesting things in magazines and on line that say For Trade Only. This seems to mean that I cannot buy the item. Is there a way to get around this?

It usually means you have to be a registered business to purchase directly.

I think this means that the items can only be purchased through an Interior Designer/Decorator who are registered with ARIDO or similar. There is a fabric store in Mississauga, Ont. that allows the public to view the fabric & take samples home but you have to make a purchase through a designer - sucks in my opinion. I'm not sure how it works if you see a piece of furniture you like.
